Hello,

We currently have the 2007 version of EW but it was not purchased by us. It was a gift from our sister's company. How do we go about upgradind EW to 2009.

We would like to purchase our own EW but with so many songs already on the 2007 version I'm afraid that we will lose them. Is there a way for us to buy the new version yet keep ALL the songs already there?

Please let me know, thanks

I first saw EW in my twin brother's church in Jacksonville, FL called "Life Church". I had never seen anything like it before, needless to say, of course, I was amazed and hooked. This was over 4 years ago when the primitive EW was out. Nothing flashy or fancy, just a good took to do song lirics / text over video effects.

They pointed me in the right direction as far as where to go and purchase a copy for my own ministry in Cleveland, Ohio. For a brand new baby ministry it was a lot to spend but we made the sacrifice anyways. We were two weeks to a month in to our ministry and we purchased the full version. It has greatly helped our ministry and worship presentation!

We had always, since the beginning of our ministry (Glory to Glory Church) been focused on "Excellence" and I can honestly say that EW has helped us push the envelope. It is the greatest and best presentation software in the market bar-none!

I dont work for them to say this. I am just a techie that have tried other pesentation sofwares included in Midnight Oil software list and none has even come close to be as complete and user friendly GUI as EW. And with the new 2009 version (which we just purchased last week) it is all the better! I am 110% satisfied with it and will continue to support them all the way. Thanks!

I was using SongScreen Liquid (before it became Liquid) for quite a while, but did not like the limited verse/chorus metaphor. So I switched to EW. I really like EW's layout and ease of use.

Another tremendous feature is the PROFILES. We have several venues here at White Dove that are multipurpose meaning we use them for several other services such as Spanish services/events, etc. This allows us to have a completely separate library of songs for the Spanish church and not have to worry about something getting messed up for our main English speaking services and vise-versa, which happened when we whee using SongScreen.

I do have one issue with EW. That is the way it handles searches. In SongScreen, you could put ANY of the words to a song in the search bar and SS WOULD find the song. In EW, there are two of them, one for title and one for lyrics. If you use the lyrics search it will ONLY find the EXACT instance of what you typed. I dont know what or how SS concocted their search algorithm, but we never had to think more than a few words in the ENTIRE song and it would find it. EW requires some thought and trial and error.
