How to Use This Theme
-Â Love. The greatest writing in the world on love comes from Paul’s description of the virtues of love. We would do well to love like this on Valetine’s or any day of the year. (I Cor 13)
-Â Relationships. The culture’s obsession with relationships and sex is merely a reflection of our God-shaped need for intimacy. While it is nearly impossible for broken humans to have intimate relationships, God’s love gives us the ability to overcome the barriers that divide us. (Eccl 4:9-12)
-Â Salvation. Though this relationship is fractured because of our sin, Jesus gives us the means to be reconciled when God says, “Be Mine.” (2 Cor 5:18-21)
-Â Sacrifice. Love has no greater standard than when one lays down his life for his friends. Through his sacrificial death on the cross Jesus is our ultimate friend. (John 15:13)
