How to Use This Theme

- Atonement. The empty cross is the primary Christian symbol for the act of atonement: the risen Christ that has redeemed us by grace, and made us sons and daughters of God. (Ephesians 1:3-12)
- Justice. For the racists of American history such as the KKK, the cross was s symbol of oppression and suffering. But for believers in the risen Christ, the cross is a symbol of justice and freedom. (Romans 8:1-4)
- Salvation. The blood of Christ shed at the cross was a necessary sacrifice. By giving his life, Jesus kept believers from experiencing death, or eternal separation from God. (Hebrews 9:11-28)
- Sin. At the cross, Jesus took on the sins of the world, and of you and me, in order that we may be free. (Mark 15:21-41)
