Make Easter Fresh Out of the Box
Fresh Out of the Box Volume 4Another volume in the Fresh Out of the Box series is now shipping! Volume 4 contains 10 more all new worship services (“experiences”) complete with graphics, videos, movie clips references, call to worship scripts, song ideas, and much more. It’s pre-developed worship ideas for our digital age.

The Fresh Out of the Box books highlight some of the worship media that we (Jason and Len) produced while at our previous ministry, Lumicon. This volume is focused on the Lent and Easter season and complements volume 1, which is Palm Sunday through Pentecost Sunday for those that follow the Christian calendar. You can use the services as is (“in the can”) or modify them to your own situation. Some of our favorites experiences in the book are called:

Feel the Earth Move
Test Time
The Mystery of the Tomb
Ultimate Love

At $30 for each book/DVD of Fresh Out of the Box, you can’t afford to not collect all 4 volumes of this series! Get it here.

"The Stuff We've Been Praying For!"
Our new goal of providing no-charge worship media for churches every month seems to be a hit so far. Over 2500 people have downloaded the gratis monthly videos and graphics we've put in our last three newsletters. Here’s a few comments from users:

“I subscribe to two other companies for videos but I truly believe that Midnight Oil has the highest quality products out there. I used the "Follow the Star" video for our Christmas Eve service and my pastor was amazed. I used the Photoshop background in all of our songs and it tied everything together.” – Michael Meeks, First United Methodist Church, Maumelle, AR

“In our church we are pushing for more media presentations, and your gear helps us show what can be done. Thanks.” – Jarad Flack, Kerang Baptist Church, Kerang, Victoria, Australia

“Wow, what a great and awesome video, it does not need any words!” – Debra Sonksen, NEO136, Highland Ranch, CO

“We used the Christmas video and it was very powerful. We ended up building our service around the theme. Thank you for your desire to provide quality videos F-R-E-E. As a small church it really made a difference in our Christmas Eve Service.” – Dave Griewe, Desert Horizons Church, Las Vegas, NV

“This looks like the stuff we've been praying for! YES!” – Dow Escalante, Mt. Branson Christian Church, Branson, MO

“Thanks for what you are doing to empower meaningful worship.” – David Yeagley, Lansing Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lansing, MI

“Your videos are awesome.” - Josh Arrington, United Church of Amsterdam, Amsterdam, ON, Canada

“Thank you for helping make our worship services true experiences.” – Charles Heishman, Williamsburg Christian Church, Williamsburg, VA

Valentine Graphic Download Offer
The fourth in our monthly series of no-charge worship media, this month’s download is a graphic image that is sure to fit into your February worship planning. Right in time for Valentine’s Day, this image is a great way to relate the cultural celebration of romantic love to the transforming agape love of the Gospel.

We call it “Be Mine” but you can call it whatever you want. As with all spark* metaphors, this Valentine Candy set comes with multiple BMP files and the actual layered Adobe Photoshop/Elements file for editing. We’re even thrown in a supporting PDF document with ways you can use the image in worship, just like with each of our spark* sets.

Although this image will appear on the upcoming spark volume 3, you can get it right now at absolutely no charge. Just Click Here to fill out our short user info form and download the image now.

Build Your Own Easter Graphic
Beyond the TombWould you like to learn to build this graphic?

Well, you’re in luck. Just in time for the Easter season, we’re excited to offer this step-by-step Photoshop tutorial that will (hopefully) make it possible for you to create your very own glowing Tomb graphic.

This tutorial signals the beginning of what is a new section on our site, devoted to training media ministers in the creation of their own high quality creative media. We invite you to stop by the Wired Church Training Center as often as you’d like to check out new tutorials, training events schedule, and the soon to be released web version of Wired Church CD ROM.

What was that about winning a resource? Oh yeah, the contest. To celebrate the debut of our training center, We’re having a Create a Tomb Graphic Contest! Submit your completed tomb image to us at mail@midnightoilproductions.com. We'll pick the best executed graphic, and that person will win a free resource of their choosing from the site, value up to $50.

What would you like to learn to do with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, or your video editing application? If you’d like to submit a request for a future tutorial to answer that question, you can drop us an email here.

Want Hands On Training?
One of our partner ministries is Technologies For Worship Magazine. In the past we’ve written for the magazine and spoke at their conferences, but now we’ve put our heads together to bring you some incredible hands on learning opportunities.

On May 10-14 we’re headed to Inspiration, TFWM’s premier worship technology conference held this year in Charlotte, NC. Besides offering portions of our Digital Storyteller seminar (in workshop form) and operating a Midnight Oil booth at the expo center, we’ll also be leading a computer lab on the expo floor. Join us, as we will be teaching various graphic techniques using Adobe Photoshop. We’re excited that several workstations will be at our disposal for the classes. You’re also welcome to bring your own laptop.

Other events being offered in conjunction with TWM this year include:

March 5 New York, NY Worship Production Summit at ShowBizExpo
March 19 Las Vegas, NV Sound Mixers Workshop at NCSA
April 19-21 Las Vegas, NV Sound Mixing Pavilion at NAB
